Our Journey: 20 Years of Growth

2006–2008: The Roots

It started as a "Matt’s Garden" event, a simple group of friends celebrating our heritage and Black British life.

2008–2016: Self-Funded Service

Transitioned into free community days, entirely self-funded by the organizers.

2017–2020: Global Expansion

Introduced cost-effective tickets to scale community impact across numerous global locations, funding homelessness initiatives and youth coaching.

2020–2021: The Pandemic Pivot

Despite no live shows, we focused on community support, including winter jacket drives that collected over 400 items for those in need.

2022–2026: A Viable Vision

Now a premier London festival attracting 5,000 – 8,000 patrons, providing a sustainable engine for social change.

Our Mission Pillars

1. Nurturing Untapped Talent

To uncover hidden musical talent, providing a direct pathway for artists to transition from grassroots community days to the main festival stage.

2. Bridging Generations

We honor our Caribbean roots by partnering with legacy organizations to connect youth with their heritage, fostering unity between the Windrush generation and today’s youth.

3. Democratizing Access to Culture

Creating safe, sober, and financially accessible spaces. Cost and background should never be a barrier to joy.

4. Championing the Local Economy

We prioritize long-term partnerships with local SMEs and entrepreneurs, ensuring our growth directly benefits the businesses around us.
